Producing slime after medication?

SnakeAround

Question; Is it normal a snake seemingly produces lots of slime after getting fluid meds orally?

Reason for asking; Yesterday I went to see the vet again with my yellow rat. She still hasn't recovered the full 100% since her RI. She did spit out some mucus a couple of times, which I hoped to be the remaining mucus finally coming out of her lungs. Her feeding response was as good as ever and she was active like before, the mucus was the only remaining symptom. Her poo was ok since she got off meds after her RI, but last Monday I saw badly digested, mummified like remains of the latest meal on the viv floor. I decided that was it, she had to go see the vet again. Since her latest meal was a live fed big weaner, and all f/t meals had given no problems, I fed her a f/t small hopper on Tuesday hoping she would produce some poo on Thursday for the doc and as a layer for the medication period to come. But on Wednesday it was regurged.

The doc diagnosed worms from the faces at the mummified mouse remains and suspected bacterial infection in the stomach (no very mean critters like crypto tnk god but it might also be a virus which I don't hope) so I was given a syringe full of med. for the worms (one dose) and a 3-week Vibravit supply. Yesterday I put in the worm med. and she started bubbling from her nose and for a couple of hours here mouth was full of slime after getting it in. This morning her mouth was all clean again.

About half an hour ago I started the Vibravit (didn't want to supply that too yesterday), and she is bubbling again though I was very aware of putting the syringe in her throat a little deeper now to be sure it got in. It seemed to work better but there still is slime in her mouth now. It's not the Vibravet cause that's yellow and this is crystal clear slime. She opens her mouth now and then but was able to drink normally and is not gasping for air.... the slime is just irritating her I think.

Make sure you show her the water after the meds. I had to give my sister's cats some worm meds, and they got all foamy afterward - they needed to drink some water to get it down. But I am not a vet or reptile medicine expert. I hope someone else here can give you some good advice.

Tnx! She did drink after the Vibravet today but I didn't see if she drank yesterday after the worm med. She does know where here water is for sure.
