Progression thread: Haze

Here is the progression thread.

Yeah, I think she is the largest one right now, though most of them are doing quite good and are fairly big for yearlings.
She is huge! And looking amazing. She's really looking a lot like her dad now. Her mom, Stormy, is my biggest corn and is heading for the 1,000 gram range now. I'm thinking their babies are all going to be on the larger side.

(and both user names are right, Tavia on here, Charis on every other reptile related forum)

I think a family photo album is such a great idea. I wish I could see how the sibs of my snakes developed. So interesting.

She's looking really good. She's a whole lot bigger than our girl, although I admit ours has been on a rather unaggressive feeding schedule. I'll try to get a weight on her tonight and some poor phone pics to post on the family thread.

Haze is the most polite eater of any of my snakes. She's always taken her mouse daintily... But she takes it. Every time. :)

Ours is the exact opposite. She's a natural born killer and loves to make sure her already dead mouse is "really" dead

So I was able to get a weight on ours but didn't have time pictures. She's been a slow grower and weighs in at a whopping 90 grams. Yours is actually weighs as much as my 2 1/2 year old blood red, but he went on a 4 month hunger strike this spring so that has a little to do with it.

Haze is actually as big as my Tessera Max was at the 2 year mark and he was always a good eater.

Wow! Should I be concerned? She doesn't look fat to me. Maybe I should check my scale. (I have 2 now since my tiny one tricked me before)

She doesn't look overweight to me either, she just looks like she's a year older than she actually is.

Had a fantastic night with Haze. :) like usual, 3 days after her meal I find her roaming her tank. I take her out and put her either in a tub with a bit of warmish water or a designated pillowcase to go to the bathroom. she hasn't soiled her enclosure in months and I swear its on purpose.

Anyway, she was clearly not ready to go back to her tank so I took her with me to watch TV on the couch- and stayed on me (not still, but not wandering away) for over an hour! She is such an awesome snake. Oh, and she's ginormous. I haven't measured her length but she's over 3 feet for sure and 353 grams post poop last night.

Lol. She doesn't refuse meals, that's for sure. Right now I'm offering a medium adult every 7 or 8 days. She's on my schedule for one a week, but if I don't see her out cruising I wait until I do. When she's hungry she tends to poke her head out of wherever she is every time I come in the room.

She still doesn't strike or coil much. By far the most polite eater of my nine snakies. (Yep. I got the bug. Haze was my very first snake and now I have nine.) [emoji15]

Quick update on the sweetest pink freak of nature ever, miss Haze. For size reference, this is a queen size bed. Weighed her tonight- 407 grams.

She's huge! Ours is sitting at about 150g although I admit that we have been very conservative with our feeding schedule.

I've even cut her back to small mice since the last time I posted so I was pretty surprised by the scale reading last night.
