Progression thread of my new babies from Steve Roylance!

Here are some hastily snapped photos of my new babies.
First, my orchid Hyacinth. He was advertised as having a small kink (and sold at an incredibly reasonable price) and it is indeed essentially nonexistent. He may be ph amel (the other orchids on his website were) but I didn't ask Steve since I have no plans to breed him. Here he is during his first shed in my care.

The second image is a female opal, Ruby. She's super chill and comes out to investigate me when I tidy her tub.

Third is Luna, a topaz. They aren't much to look at as babies but the adults are beautiful so I had to have one. She regurged after her first feeding, but may have just still been stressed from the move. I didn't feed her for 10 days afterwards and she has held down and passed two half pinks since, so I think she'll be fine.

Last is my ERO, Obsession, who lives up to her name. She's crazy! Actually, I think she's just a typical hatchling and the other babies are just super calm. I'm sure she'll be chill like the others soon.

They've had a couple meals since these pics, so I'll post better ones during their next feeding.

Wow these pics are hideous, I almost feel like I am insulting Steve and his beautiful animals by posting them. The orchid is very peachy and not browned out like in that pic. Guess I'll be taking more tonight!

Yes, the opal is one of my faves. She is PINK! Here she is being her precious pink self.

I still can't capture Hyacinth's colors until I stop being lazy, but you can see more of his peachy colors. Love those "eyelashes."

Didn't wanna bother Luna too much until she is back on whole pinks.

And Obsession was being surprisingly cooperative, but I knew she was just waiting for the right moment.

Next time I'll break out the digital camera and won't be working under lamp light. The great thing about all of these morphs is how different they look as adults. I've never seen the adult forms in person because I'm originally from GA, where they are illegal :(

More updates as they grow!

Wonderful hatchlings! May I ask why you aren't going to breed your orchid? Kinking is soooo common in lavender morphs. It seems that temperature easily creates kinks during development. I doubt there's anything wrong with your orchid, I'd breed him!

ERO, extreme reverse okeetee? that is one awesome looking snake..theyre all awesome! sweet snakes and hope to see more pics of ERO :)

Mitchell, I agree with you that the kink is almost certainly not genetic (I'm a geneticist that specializes in skeletal birth defects, specifically kinked spines!) I simply just don't have plans to breed any of my corns! He was the only one I purchased that I suspect is a possible het, so I just threw that in there. But if a sunkissed amel het lavender ever falls into my lap....

Dbullz111, I will definitely post more pics as they grow!

OMG, I LOVE your babies, keep posting pictures!
Hyacinth certainly does have adorable 'eyelash' spots, it'll be interesting to see if they retain with maturity.
