I plan on getting an anole tomorrow to use to scent pinkies for two 05's. I was wondering how easy it would be to keep it alive. Assuming that it gets them to eat I would like to try to keep it alive for awhile. But I am not going to go way out of my way since it will most likely end up in the freezer anyway. If I give it an enclousure approximately the size of a 10gal tank with peat moss substrate and stuff to climb on (and of course water) will it be okay. I hadn't planned on trying to give it basking spots. I will probably feed it meal worms and maybe some stuff I catch outside my apartment.
Also, if I want to have a reserve of some anole scented pinkies is it better to freeze the anole and rub the pinkies on it as needed or can I let it bite the pinkies while it is still alive and then put them back in the freezer?
Any input would be appreciated. :shrugs:
Thanks
