Quinn & Rosie the Peppermint Sibling Progression

Today arrived two of my most anticipated new scale babies! I got these guys from Carol at lowbellyreptiles and I couldn't resist. The male has the brightest red of any peppermint I've ever seen and the female is just as beautiful. Both are het Lavender Stripe :)
Definitely wanted to do a progression thread to show how their color develops as they grow.
Thanks again carol if you see this and I hope everyone enjoys :D

just saw your post. They are beautiful. I can't wait to see their progression. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thanks. They are going to be stunning as adults. I've attached a pic of "Petal" their mother (incredible that such vibrant snakes came from a nearly patternless one) and two other photos of them :)

Fed Quinn and Rosie today!
Crazy seeing how eager they are to eat, my first corn (also a peppermint) was a difficult eater and had to be assist fed at two months because he had basicly withered to nothing. He's fat and healthy now though :D
The pic is of Quinn noming away and right before he ate. I am still blown away by his red, if I didn't trust carol I would say he was a candy cane for sure!

Man, I was really eyeing this pair, but I'd just gotten another pair of hatchlings and I still don't know if I'm going to hold anything back this year. Do you plan to breed them later? I'd love to see more opalmints like Petal.

Had a big scare tonight... Came home after work, got the pinkies ready for feeding and fed Quinn. Went to go feed Rosie and she was no where to be found! After searching her cage for possible escape routes I found a piece of her terrarium lid chipped and a hole just barely big enough for her to fit through... I frantically began searching the room for her, nothing. I then started on my storage closet which is the next closest spot to her viv, and found her under the cloth bag my piebald was in when she was shipped! Can't believe I found her, I really did fear the worst, my cat. Wondering if the scent of the cloth comforted her or if it was just a warm spot.
Attached a pic of when I found her... beyond relieved!!

Thanks, I am glad too!
Petal is a Peppermint Lavender, or as carol has dubbed her, a "Cinder Opal" :)
Hopefully I will have a few just like her in the future!
