For the first in 33 years, Skip Caray will not be the voice of the Atlanta Braves. He passed away last night in his sleep at the age of 68. Son of Hall of Famer Hary Caray and father of Chip, Skip to me, was how baseball should be announced. He had a sarcastic wit and could keep a Braves blowout, win or loss interesting.
Every team has "that" announcer they call legendary; but Skip just seemed to fit the bill. For me Skip was a part of baseball and I will miss him.
Godspeed Skip.
