random video thread ...

AHAHAHAHAHAAAA, I LOVE Trigger Happy TV! I got to meet TH Squirrel at a furry convention. :D

Going outside to shoot my new BB gun in a minute (great review video below).

The other day, a passerby had stopped into the tackle shop (where I work) to try and resell this gun for $25 (below in video). Long story short, I bought it (short story long, is how I bought it).

I was the only one at the store all day, because both owners (husband and wife) work other full time jobs, and alternate at the shop with me (almost family run). So it's almost always one person at the store in shifts. Anyways, because of this, I couldn't use the stores money to make the deal (in good faith), regardless of whether it was a great price on the gun to resell. And I had no way to call them and ask their interest. So I decided I'd just ask his information, to let the owners know as soon as I could if they were interested, and they could call him back themselves.

Long story short.. he was just passing through, and didn't feel like going through the process of leaving his info for them. So, even though it was a great deal, it didn't look like it was going to happen. But, even though I really had no interest in a gun (a BB gun of all) I asked if he could bring it in for me to check out, so I could at least see if I'd maybe want to buy it (and then give the owners the chance later to get it from me for $25).

After he brought it in (with the accessories), I was actually quite proud to shell out my last $25 for it (no lunch = temporary regret, though). But it came with the gun, a nice holster that he'd bought separately for a real handgun, a case of Co2 cartridges, and a large container of BB's (all $25).

He had gotten it to try and solve a raccoon problem, and to no surprise, it didn't work (seems cruel to use anything less than a .22). But money is easier to come by than common sense for some people, so he went all out on a gun that didn't even have the power to do the job. And he didn't seem to care too much at all about getting what he paid for all of it.. yay me!

And best of all, the owner of the store was more than happy to just let me keep it. He seemed genuinely glad that I was able to get it for myself and enjoy it.

Anyways, kind of a loop hole in the "random video" thread to add a story. But here's a great review I was just watching on the BB gun, and it gives me an excuse to share on here, because I know there's some gun enthusiasts.. although, BB guns really may not be the same to gun people. Not that manly (although it looks pretty bad ass).
