Hooray for repticon! Time to get my boys some stocking stuffers, Santa knows who's been naughty and nice. The challenge is not to bring home a new baby lol.

I wish I could go! But I have to feed EVERYONE today. With a kitchen sink that leaks, so how I'm going to thaw, I have no idea.

Sounds like your bathtub may be getting a lot of use today :)
I'll be attending either late today or tomorrow. Lt. Dan has a vet appointment today. He's been on regurge protocol for over a month and is losing weight.
Hopefully you'll be able to go tomorrow.

Long story short...Lt. Dan was fed only wild caught lizards prior to my care. i switched him to adult mice with no prob. after his 3rd feeding he regurged. i researched what to do(thanks to you all). he went on pinkies every 5 days but lost weight because the pinkies werent enough for him. i've tried to move him up to fuzzies no problem, then hoppers and he regurged again. this was about 2 weeks ago. he also developed a lump in his belly around this time.
The vet wanted to do an ex ray, ($230.00) so I begged for an alternative and got a sonogram. He said his lump is not a blockage and he could see blood flowing through the area. Without an ex ray he advised me to go back to pinkies but give him 3 pinkies throughout the week( smaller meals) until I can afford either X-rays or surgery to see what's really going on. I've been giving him reptivite, all I have until I can get the nutribac.
I'm going to hunt for nutribac at the reptile show tomorrow. If not I'll order some tomorrow afternoon.
Lt. Dan has a good appetite and is active and healthy looking otherwise. He's been out all day so I'll have to take pics tomorrow. He weighs 220 grams skinny for a 2 yr old he looks very underweight now :-(
Chancellor Palpatine got a clean bill of health. King Ghidorah and Captain Morgan stayed home. I couldn't afford to have all of them examined. I'm pretty sure they are 100% too. They eat like champs and look gorgeous.

Ugh. What was Lt. Dan's origin? Bred or wild caught?

Did the vet suggest doing a fecal? If you go to the show tomorrow, I'd talk to Dr. Orlando, if he's there. Just for a second opinion. How far down LD is the lump?

Were there any other circumstances surrounding the regurge of the hopper such as he was blue, or his heat was off, or anything?

He wasn't blue prior to the first regurge he shed just before the 2nd regurge. His temps have been normal(cool between 68-75, warm side, uth at 80-87. No changes, I was told he was bought at a reptile show from a breeder but they didn't remember who sold them the snake. Other being really hungry when I got him (he kept trying to eat my arm), he looked very healthy and active.
The dr. Said he didn't have worms and a fecal exam wasn't necessary. I'd love to get a 2nd opinion though. Thank you so much for your help Nanci. The lump is about almost midway down his body. I'll try and get a pic after he's settled back in later.

How would the vet know he didn't have parasites without a fecal? After eating anoles, he is virtually guaranteed to have parasites. That really worries me that he'd say that.

Wow, I just thought from the sonogram he could tell if he had parasites. He seemed very sure about it. I should've pushed for a fecal exam thinking about it now :/ definitely going to get a 2nd opinion then.
