RIP--Tim Russert

Tim Russert, a popular NBC News commentator died today. He was the host of "Meet the Press" for years. I'm a total news junkie, especially during election years, and I'll miss him. He was always on during the primaries and elections. He was only 58. He died of a heart attack, but he had it while he was working. He was recording part of "Meet the Press" when he collapsed. It just stinks. :awcrap:

Here's a link if you want to read more about him.

The man was a fixture....
I will really miss him.
I remember how excited he was at the beginning of primary season this year. He looked almost electrically charged!

Not only is it sad he's gone, it's sad he's gone NOW.
I'm sure he would have wanted to see the election results...........

Ohmigod, no! He's one of the very, very few news reporters who I trusted & whose opinion I valued! Oh, wow...how devastating. And so young...I loved listening to his moderating & reporting. Oh, no...how terribly sad. :awcrap:

As much of a political wonk as I am, what I'll miss most about him is his humanity....he was DEDICATED wholeheartedly to what he loved; his wife, his children, his faith, the Buffalo Bills, and especially, his father.

If any man wants to blubber like he's been seeing a continuous loop of the last 10 minutes of "Field Of Dreams", pick up "Big Russ And Me", his tribute to his father.

Who, such as it is, survives his loving son.

RIP, Tim. We'll miss you and your big white board on the First Tuesday of November.

regards,
jazz

How incredibly sad that such a wonderful man left this realm so early. He was a fixture that will surely be missed. RIP Mr. Russert.

My sunday morning ritual always included watching Tim. My mother would watch all the news programs and Tim was truly her favorite. At her funeral my brother mentioned how she spent her days with "Tim and Chris". He truly will be missed by many.
