This guy has shown signs of extreme stupidity before, but today was his best performance. It was his first post-bru meal, and I gave him two hoppers. I left him alone for some time, and then went back to check on him. The hoppers were gone, but he was moving strangely, pressing his open-mouthed-face against the bottom of the feeding tub. I thought maybe his jaws weren't re-aligning, and he kept doing it. I started getting worried, but then it became apparent that he was trying to bite and eat the spot on the paper towels where the mice had been. Guess he'll go bare-tub from here on out at meal time.
And to think, the fact that he didn't bite me when I took him out (which he had done for almost all of his 2005 feedings), had me worried about his post-bru feeding response.
