I just had a devastation to my breeder colony as well. I hope yours can recover from a lost male. Mine did not do so well and now I'm down from a 1.4 with 2.3.5 babies to a 0.2, 0.0.0 babies. My male really did a big part in helping raise the babies! I thought everything would be alright, that I could raise one of the male fuzzys as a replacement but my females just couldn't raise them without him.

Good luck with your colony. Even though they're mostly for food there is that part of me that enjoys watching my mice and their babies grow and just feels terrible when something goes wrong.
