The Ring and The Arrow
Today I lost my first herp. Apollo my coastalxdiamond python, passed due to a case of mouth rot that, despite several vet visits and antibacterial treatment, continued to claim over 50% of his jaw. The veterinarian called approximately 20 minutes ago and informed me that after Apollo's jaw collapsed the most human thing to do would be to allow him to pass. Though it pained me to do so I chose the humane option. Sorry to have bothered you guys, just needed to vent some grief.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, I know losing any treasured pet hurts and from the sounds of it you did everything you could for the critter and then made a hard choice that felt right to you.
