Scales Flaking and Tiny Cuts

Hello all,

My corn is in blue right now. A few days ago, I noticed some clear scales flaking from him. These did not seem to bother him, and sometimes fluttered off on their own. Today I noticed two pin-point tiny red spots on him (I am nearly 100% sure these are not mites, but cuts of some sort.)

Is there any concern? He is moving around fine and does not appear to be in pain.

I guess the flaking is simply some shed coming off. The tiny red dots COULD be some bits of pigment, but I don't know. They don't sound like cuts.

he might be rubbing himself against something rough repeatedly, like one of his hides. My rat does that.
