Scout's first fuzzy!

Lolo

Surrounded by snakes
Scout ate his first fuzzy mouse tonight, so I took some photos of the feeding (he doesn't mind ;)). I seriously got nervous for a minute, because the mouse looked so big... but he obviously had no problem with it!

P.S. Does this look like the right sized prey for him?

Thanks all! :) I love his pattern too, and can't wait to see how he matures... it seems there aren't many "Aztec Reverse Okeetees" out there, so hopefully he can make some unique babies one day.

Oh, and I think I'll call him my little butt-muncher from now on... LMAO. :D

Love him My female Amel just ate her first big fuzzy last feed also.My Girl is 35grams what is the weight of your boy?

So funny...He is beautiful and the pictures are cute. I remember when each size up on each snake was worthy of me running for the camera...We just switched several to the next size this week...I didn't even think of grabbing a camera. How sad.

I wonder why Scout is such a common name for snakes?

I dunno... guess it just suits them! I picked it because I was trying to think of a Southern name (since the Okeetees come from the southeast), and one that goes along with my literary theme. It just came to me, and seemed like the perfect name for him. :)

I guess it's like with human children, where you take fewer & fewer pictures with each child... my nephew is already WAY behind his older sister, who practically had her own paparazzi 24/7.

Scout's looking good! You gotta love the butt munchers :). They're like the south paws of the snake world!

What is His Weight and how old is he?

Sorry, missed that question earlier! He was around 29g last time I weighed him, but that was a few weeks ago... and he's almost 6 months old now, if I remember correctly. Growing slowly but steadily! :)
