screen top clamps

I have 5 "houses" for my snakes, bigger than 50gal.

Zilla makes screen tops, but hard to find clamps that actually works and properly fits.
The screen top locking clamps do not work.

As for now, i'm using Fluker's clasps. Although they are in place, i'm afraid one of my escape artists may push under and slither away.

I lost my very first snake in that manner, but found him 3 days later.

Please help.

I got my fourth corn today, she came with a 20L with clips. I have never used the clips either, I use leftover pavers from our patio project on all four corners of my other vivs, these clips seem useless!

I like the velcro idea, I am going with that and am ditching the heavy pavers.

Thanks everyone!

With the Velcro strips, I'm a little worried about my under tank heater could possibly cause a fire if the Velcro strips get too hot. Those little things get hot, very hot. I have to be careful when cleaning snake homes, sometimes it Burns me if I'm not careful.

If you are aware that it gets hot enough it burns you, and are afraid it is hot enough to cause a fire, don't you worry about what it is doing to your snake?

Snakes need a WARM spot, they don't need it so hot they will get burned. Snakes can and do get burns from those under tank heaters getting too hot for them. It would seem they would be smart enough to move away, but they don't seem to be.

Under tank heaters, and any heat source, needs to be regulated to insure it is providing the proper temperature. The best way to do this is with a thermostat. Here is a link to a relatively inexpensive one:

Thanks KC! Yes I am worried about burning my babies. I didn't know there is a temp regulator for under tank heaters. Thank you again. I will definitely be purchasing some!
