See What The Easter Bunny Got Me!

Jay@PJCReptiles

"Quality Before Quantity"
Hi Everyone,
Today was the All New England Reptile Show in Manchester New Hampshire. I couldn't go as I had to deliver bikes all over the place. PJ and the kids went and had a great time. While PJ was there she decided that I was so good all year long that I deserved to have the Easter Bunny bring me a few things. Totally unbenounced to me as to what she bought but when I got home I was the proud owner of a 1.2 trio Charcoal het Amel (these are the first Charcoals in our collection and I have no idea why I didn't have them earlier..."brain fade" I guess  ), 0.1 B&W Banded Cali King, 1.0 Albino Banded Cali King and a 0.1 Guyanan RTB. This girl is awesome! I tried to get a good picture of her dark purples and pinks but the camera just doesn't pick it up. Her tail is huge and very clean and red. I couldn't believe what PJ had done. I guess I was a really good boy. :shrugs: I love my wife she is awesome! Thanks for looking and I hope you like. I need another wife like her...lol. :sidestep:

Pic 2&3 - 0.2 Charcoal
Pic 4 - 0.1 B&W Cali - Domino
Pic 5 - Albino Cali - Irwin
(Only took a couple of pictures as I wanted them to settle in. I will get better Ones of the Charcoals later. They have very nice colors in the eyes)

Hey Jay, not to burst any bubbles....

But those two female charcoals really looks like anerys to me. You sure they're charcoals?

Goregous boa! just to put a name out there...what do you think of Araceli(air-uh-cell-ee)??

again goregous!!!

Great new snakes! I love the cali king, those are great bold bands marking out that one.
Sweet

Domino is my favorite. Nice aberrant pattern- crisp colors- I think normals are the prettiest Calis.

Hi Joe,
I was thinking the same thing when I first saw them. They look different then the male as they don't seem quite as clean as he does and they have some yellow pigment already going down their sides. I wasn't there when PJ got them so I couldn't question the vendor. I have a suspicion that they are Anery as PJ said the person she got them from wasn't the most knowledgeable. They do however look a little different then my other Anerys we have but nowhere near the looks of the new boy. I figured if I posted pictures of them and labled them as what they were purchased as someone like you could come along and correct me if it were wrong. "All Hail The Grand Bubble Burster!"....jk Joe :grin01: . I do think your absolutely correct about them being Anery. PJ got the guys number and I will call him later and pick his brain. The male was purchased from a different vendor then the girls but he definitely looks different from them and any other snake in our collection. Thanks for reinforcing my suspicions.

Thanks Nanci and Plissken,
She is a nice little girl. I like her head pattern and she is already jet black and not dark brown like some Cali babies. Thanks for complimenting on her beauty.

Great looking bunch there!! Love the RT. That's no little baby either!

Nope shes not Meg. She is a little over 4' and pretty thick. The pictures of her tail mostly reflect what it looks like but as far as her body coloration the camera can't even come close. Her colors are 100% more vibrant then the camera could capture. Her purples are the color of a purple Necco wafer. Maybe I can name her Necco. Thanks Meg.

That boa is gorgeous!!!!!

She really is nice Elle. She is a little more high strung then our other boas but I think she will come around with regular handling. If you think she is nice wait until you see the trade I did last week. I will post this other girl in a different thread as there is a story behind it. I knew you would like her Elle.

Diamondlil...after Jay's lil comment he almost needed to find a new wife... :bang: Just playin'!

Ellie...That new boa female is Jay's ONLY boa...You know I love MY boas! Wait til you hear about my girl and see her. You are going to have buy that ticket to the USA for a visit...can't wait to see you! :crazy02:

JoeJr...I had my suspicions about those "charcoal" girls. So I bought the charcoal male from another breeder, just in case. At least Jay is half way to a breeding pair of charcoals. Besides, I paid a real good price and we could sell them and make our money back easily and still give someone a good deal. So a no lose purchase I guess I could say.

Just so you all know, I was kinda shocked at some of the vendors and their so called expert advise on snakes!! One breeder was actually telling a family to put the lil corn baby on PINE shavings and feed it 2x a week and the prey size should never be bigger then the corn's head... :shrugs: :bang:

Vendors with huge animals all together in small tubs with covers. Lizards so crammed in that he couldnt turn around and was stuck upside down trying to break the top. Vendors selling morphs and having no idea what it is or how it came to be. Sorry, but I had to get that off my chest!

Glad everyone enjoyed seeing Jay's new Easter presents.

Smiles,
PJ :wavey:

Great pickups Jay. I too went and got an easter present for my daughters. I purchased what the vender said was a charcoal also, but he has alot of yellow on him and my daughter and I knew it was an anery, which is alright since that's what I was wanting to get. Congrats on awesome having a kewl easter bunny wife!
