i have a pregnant snake ready to lay eggs. she is in the same tank as the male. ive heard that after your snake lays eggs, you should seperate the male and the female. if so, for how long should they be seperated?

You'll want to separate them so they don't breed again immediately. If you don't want them to breed again for the season, then you should probably keep them separated until breeding season is completely over. If you do want them to breed again, just keep them separate until the female gains back her weight.
