The Ring and The Arrow
So I go to check my mail today. I live in an apartment complex, so its a short walk for me to get to my box. I'm almost there, I look down on the sidewalk, and see this weird looking worm, very gross looking for a worm and white as the driven snow. I cautiously sidestep the presumably icky creature, and proceed to get my mail. On my way back, morbidly curious as ever, I stop to take a closer look. To my great surprise what I thought to be an oddly colored worm, turns out to be the last 4-5 inches of what appears to be a snow corn snake, he appears to have been weaseling his way into a crack :shrugs:. I brought the little blighter inside, got him set up, unfortunately in the set up I intended for my incoming leos. As I type this he(or she?) is chowing down on a pink mouse as she awaits her new 10 gal. What delightfully odd, and oddly delightful way to obtain a new snake.

wow thats so cool!

now only if I could find nice snakes lying around in my yard...

ahaha

the only snakes I find are 6 ft black racers that flee if you even think of looking at them, lol

congrats on the find!!

Well crap!! I live where cornsnakes are and I don't just find them lying around!

I cleaned the pool today and found...

a little ringneck snake swimming in the skimmer. Does that count as an exciting find?

Less exciting than a cotton mouth but a great find in my book. :D

How big is it?? I recently saw one little guy about 4 inches, it was the smallest snake I have ever scene.

Ugly disgusting Worm = beautiful snake..
Now thats humor.

ohh my god you found my snake! I've been looking everwhere for him!

hehehe :laugh01:...wish it wre true...lol...great find though!! :crazy02:

What a way to get your next snake! I really need to move... the desert just isn't the place to find stray corns.... heck, this year it wasn't even the place to find the usual wild assortment of critters.

I went ahead and posted a notice on our community message board(the old fashioned corkboard kind), about Slipps(as I am now calling the snake, watch "My Gym Partner is a Monkey", on Cartoon Network), as I can't imagine that there is a wild occurring strain of snow corns, that are active in November, in Knoxville. Here's hoping no one steps forward. :nyah:

That's cool! As I said in the last case of Found White Snake, someone out there is missing their baby...

I haven't found a ringneck yet, though I did find a lizard in the hospital yesterday.

Yeah unfortunately the only actual wild snake I've seen around here was very dead, in an attempt to cross one of our busiest roads. Shame too he was a beautiful black rat. Other than snakes, I've seen a few green anoles, box turtles, a snapper that was a long way away from a body of water for little 3" guy, box turtles, and some kind of skinks. The baby skinks were very cool. I don't know what kind they were but their babies were jet black with indigo blue tails. Very cool.
