Short Documentary on Richard Jewell

It was so clear that implicating him meant selling more copy, even though there was very little evidence. Well, outside of him fitting the profile of one person who had planted, then found a bomb hoping to be a hero.

I had to find this on ESPN (stupid flash), but this was a great watch. Good post/find. Such a tragic, bitter story, though. I don't remember this incident, so it was pretty eye-opening. You don't often think about such things as stray backpacks when you're in a public area. And this ordinary man had the sense enough to save dozens of lives by spotting one. Most certainly a hero.

It was a huge deal around here. The real bomber, Eric Rudolph, hid in these woods for five years they say. I find it kind of hard to believe, it would be awfully tough to winter outdoors in the Appalachians. He was anti-gay/abortion and crazy religious, so I always wondered if he didn't know some sympathetic hillbillies who hid him out in the cold months.
