Also How easy would it be to control a country if every one is hooked up as one massive system.....in theory you could control people, I dont like that Idea.

It is very interesting to think that we are coming this far in science but at the same time (to me any way) I find it disturbing to think of every one patched into the same "mind" , I feel it would make it to easy to control other people. Just my thoughts on every one "downloading" themselves into a computer as was mentioned.
 
Or Men in Black, or any number of Isaac Asimov stories, or, most of all, Kage Baker's books, called "The Company Series", which is about, of all things, Cyborgs amongst Homo Sapiens. Great series, btw. A bit scary, too.

I think I prefer Doctor Who's variety of immortality :).
