Skipping a feed?

Hi there. I go on holiday today and although i have someone to feed my snake the guy at the shop i got him from suggested that i take this advantage to skip a feed. He says that he does this once a year with all his snakes.
I just need some more advice and to be told that it really is ok. I feel real guilty about not feeding him as he's a good eater and i don't want him to be too hungry!
Any advice would be great. Thank you so much.

How old is your snake? If he's more than 6 months old and normally a good eater I wouldn't be worried about him taking even a month off feeding.

My adults only eat every 2 weeks becasue that's all they need. We tend to feed our snakes in captivity a lot more than they actually need. Have a great holiday and don't worry about your snake. If you like, you could get someone to change his water a couple of times but that's about it.

i've had him for four months. but he was about 4 months when i picked him up and yes he's a great eater!!! thanks for your help!!!!!!!!
