Snake-O-Lantern!

I was really proud of this, so I thought I'd show everyone on here. I'm not very artistic, and this was my very first non-traditional jack-o-lantern. I drew it out, and then carved it, and I was really excited that you can actually tell what it is. While I was originally aiming for a corn snake, it ended up looking more like Candy (our Pueblan), but in any case it still looks like a snake! I thought I'd share it with a group that might actually appreciate my one spurt of artistic creativity. :)

Cool. Good job - i had the same feeling, hmm i'm not sure i'm artistic enough to do a snake. I have to try it next year.

I did something like that last year. It wasn't a cornsnake but a rattlesnake.

Are you sure it's not a green tomato worm? I'm just sayin'.... :shrugs:

Kathy-
you should just carve pumpkins for you :D Thats what I do. lol I'm more of a kid about it than the kids were in our neighborhood.

I like those pumpkins. Great carvings :D Its always hard to figure out the negative space issue :D

Next year check on line, they have AWESOME patterns. My husband did Darth Vader this year. Turned out amazing.

Hehe, thanks for the great comments everyone!

And Meg, your pretty rattlesnake makes my pumpkin look pretty sad...but what can I say, I am a beginner.:)

Now I just have to find a way to part with the pumpkin I am so proud of. I think Jeff may have to just "disappear" it when I am not looking. I just don't have the heart to throw it away, lol.
