Snake question

So I know this isn't a corn snake question but I figured I would throw it out here just to see if I can get some feedback. I recently received a ball python and use a 10g tank with under tank heating pad for heat. The temp ranges from 82-88 during day dropping to between 75-79 at night and I have been unable to get humidity above 46. I am trying to figure out how to correct this and how much of my problem I should be super concerned about. Thanks

Aspen would dry out the tank (low humidity). I use aspen, because some of the year I have the opposite problem. But for a ball python, you could use something that holds moisture better. You could also have a shed-box available all the time.
I just set up a ball python tank last night actually, and I use a UTH on one side, and a heat bulb in the middle, to maintain a temp of 80F (CANNOT GO BELOW 75F EVER).
If you have other questions, this is a pretty good forum!
