Snake Shipment Jitters - Help!

So in the future- it's way less stressful to have them shipped Hold At Location. That way, FedEx calls you at 9:00-9:30 your time when they arrive and you go pick them up right away. They are in the temperature controlled office. Not out on the truck, _potentially_ getting lost, late, etc. Not saying that to scare you for this shipment, but in the future- it's way faster. AND cheaper!
When I had snakes shipped I used to have them go to my house. I'd have to take the day off work, because I'd have to be there to sign for them, obviously. Now when I have them always shipped Hold At Location, FedEx recognizes the box, knows it's for me, calls me at work, sets them aside in a safe place, and I can either go right away, (still having put in 3 hours!) or later at lunch time, knowing they are safe and 70 degrees until I go get them.

I'm torn between options. My closest Hold At Location is 40 miles away from my home. I can only easily get there while I'm working and it's a crunch trying to get it taken care of during my measly 30 minute lunch.
It was certainly less stressful for the snakes, but I think I like having them delivered straight to my door where I can open the package and put them directly into their new homes without all the stop-and-go (not to mention I can open the box as soon as I get them! I can't open it while i'm working, so the box is sitting there tempting me the whole rest of my shift)

I second the fedex pick up. I opt for one that is about 20 miles away from me because it is right by the airport and the main distribution center so I have always been able to pick up by 8am my time. And that way they are in my smooth riding grandma car in stop and go and not in a bouncy truck.

Alright folks!!! The snakes arrived slightly late this morning, but not terribly so. They were a little cool when they got here, and pretty thirsty. So we got them warmed up and hydrated them, and now they are resting and/or exploring. I have a few haphazard photos that were taking during the unpacking. My adult snakes initially thought they were pit vipers but chilled right out as soon as they were picked up. Stress, I'm sure.
Keoko from the forums was here with me today. Her little snow arrived with my snakes, and he's also absolutely gorgeous! Here's what we received!
A 1.0 Sunkissed, who is the only one of the snakes not produced by Bob. This little man was produced by Susan, and he is STUNNING!!!!!! He's also super duper sweet. I am in love with his head markings. Here's a quick snap shop of him.
Here is Kalena's little snow. He's the biggest of all the hatchlings that were produced by Bob, and also seems to be the most active thus far. I got a snap of him while Kalena was holding him, but he was a bit wiggly, so it was tough.
Gonna post more in the next few, since these photos are big.

Here is the absolutely gorgeous normal, produced by Bob. She is het amel or ultra, anery, ph hypo, stripe, diffused. Kalena held her while I tried to get a good photo.
This is the anery boy, from the same clutch. The contrast of his saddles to his background in real life is shocking. His saddles are so black, and his ground color is soooo light gray. He's amazing. Anery het amel or ultra, ph hypo, stripe diffused.

A Male Amel het lavender, ph anery, charcoal. I have named him Jack (from the Nightmare before Christmas)
And a female Ultramel het lavender, ph anery charcoal. And not surprisingly, I have named her Sally.
Here's the adult male. He is sooooo strong! Holding him was interesting until he took a second to calm down.
And here is the pretty girl. She was the MOST angry when the snakes arrived, but calmed down so fast. I absolutely love the borders on her saddles, and the color of her eyes. Thanks Kalena for holding her while I got a photo!

Fountain is just south of the Springs.
Okay, here is a picture of Flatline. She is a specter corn- you may recognize her from Kevin S's clutch- she's the one with the kink. I saw her and I just fell in love. I can hardly resist getting her out, but she just had her big adventure across the US, so I think a weeks rest is due.
