dad's ancestry, English and Scottish + mom's ancestry, German and I think some Austrian = American

Well thanks for all your insightful replies everyone.

I was born in England, but I live in Wales. My Dad's side of the family is Welsh and can be traced back by like 14 generations, so he was the one that broke the practice lol. :grin01:

My Mum's side of the family is pretty much just English, with a bit of scottish added like 4 generations back.

Mexican American

I am Mexican born and raised in Corpus Christi TX(city by the sea),but I had to move 10 years ago to Houston TX.

I'm an "Amurrican" - with Irish and German ancestry.

By stereotype, I guess this makes makes me a drunk....but a very precise, well engineered drunk.

Well, it's Wisconsin; in this state, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting someone with Teutonic Gemütlichkeit.

When the mascot of one of your local professional sports teams is a guy in lederhosen, you know you're in a German town.

I'm adopted, too. But I do happen to know my ancestry. Born in America. My gret-grandparents on my father's side were 100% German, spoke very little English, and fled Germany after WWII. My mother's side is a bit more muddied, but I know there is Scottish, Dutch, Irish, and French in there somewhere...not sure where, how, or when they migrated to America, but it was a LONG time ago...

So yea...I'm a classic American Mutt.

Born and raised in Birmingham, England. I think my grandmother has some Irish in her, I'm not 100% sure.

Texan. :D

For those of you who don't consider "Texan" a true nationality (shame on you), I'm just a boring redheaded white American girl from a looooooooong line of Irish people. A Scot and a Welshman sneaked into the bloodline somewhere a while back  , but we're mostly just Irish. :)

My ethnic background isn't my nationality.. So I put Americas. But if you want ethnicity, who knows. Heinz 57 American whiteboy I guess. Supposedly got a little Cherokee thrown in the mix as well. My mom has a Danish name and my Dad's is Welsh.

You do know that redheads are evil, don't you?
Um, yeah, that's kind of the point.

Evil, in moderation, is fun. (AKA, "Everything in moderation...including moderation.")

Me and my siblings were born in this country, as were my parents but all 4 of my grandparents are from Ireland. My grandmother being the genealogy buff that she is has traced us back almost 13 generations as being Irish.

But me I'm a Texan!

Hooray for Irish Texans.
OK, I'm trying to imagine a thick Irish brogue mixed with a thick Texas suhthun accent.

My brain hurts.
