Some local pictures

And here are some more of the Mountains in the Range I was driving through. Just to give you an idea how big they are, I was roughly around 1500-2500 feet above sea level already and the mountains are higher. But these were on the way up and back. Sorry some of them may be fuzzy because they were taken inside the car. It was -45f and the heater in the car I was driving wasnt putting out much heat so I tried not to get out to much to keep in what heat I had lol. It wasnt my car.

I remember we took a couple drives to Glenn Allen. I actually recognize a couple of those pictures. Man those mountains are stunning...

ya I actually accidently posted the rest in my "My new buddy" thread lol. Thats where half of the pictures are.

I miss that place so much. I moved to Anchorage when I was in the middle of 5th grade, from Houston to Alaska in February. I was never that cold or tired in my life that first winter. It was a few years after Mt Spur erupted a volcanic ash cloud, but the ash was still blowing around in places. My dad has a plane, so I got to see those mountains at a breathtaking advantage.

I'm amazed at how acclimated I became after the first full year and how difficult it was for me to readjust to the heat when we had to move back to Texas. Now in New Mexico I hate how the night can get so cold and the day warm up to the 70's. If given the choice I'd move back to the Pacific Northwest without hesitation.

And yesterday this big lady was out in the front yard.

I have some other pictures but they are hard to see because once they get in the trees the blend in pretty good and kind of turn into brown blobs haha.

O and for reference, that yellow sign in the pictures is between 5 and 6 feet off the ground, when I put it up it was about level with the top of my head and im 5'9.

I miss Anchorage. Sigh. Love to see the pics. I hope to get back up there again with my husband. I was a kid when I lived there and I went back in my early twenties. My husband has heard me tell stories so he's dying to go.

haha, ya I love it up here. After moving out of state for a bit then moving back I really cant imagine living any where else now.
