Spirit Serpents' 2016 breeding thread.

Finally, FINALLY, my season is underway.

First girl to go for me is a large (53") female that I bought from Don at SMR last year. Lovely sunglow motley. She's been paired up with Dier, my sunlog het hypo, anery, motley. May I get many sunglow/log and motley babies.

Other hoped for pairings:

Lacy (pewter, no known hets and NOT het for hypo, or amel) x Oroboss (ghost lavender 66% het/homo charcoal) - hoping to prove out the charcoal. Best of all would be homozygous, making 'Boss a banshee. Otherwise we get normals het for hypo, anery, charcoal, lavender, diffused. Diffused Banshees sound wonderful.

Nautley (hypo het anery, amel) x Oroboss - Hoping for thick bordered hypos again with fun hets. Two years ago Nautley made amazing hypos with 'Boss' dad.

Fluor (fluorescent amel) x Worm (red factor het anery and amel or ultra, plus many possible hets) -- Checking that amel or ultra, plus the babies should be stunning.

Torandre (ghost het amel) x Wraith (hypo charcoal lavender) - Checking Wraith for anery and amel, and hypos het charcoal moonstone will be a nice touch, too.

While I didn't catch them in the act, there was evidence of breeding between Lacy and Oroboss.

Worm, on the other hand, had absolutely no idea what he was doing. He flirted and then gave up or something.

Wraith had absolutely no interest. Weirdo.

I've gotten a second, confirmed, lock between Lacy and Oroboss. Really hoping that charcoal het proves out.

Found evidence from Wraith and Torandre. Here's hoping for a previously unknown anery het but even hypos het anery charcoal lavender will be pretty nice.

Worm STILL doesn't know what he's supposed to be doing.

Wait, that last isn't true anymore! Worm is currently locked with my fluorescent girl, bringing the total pairings up to 4. Nautley and Boss will be getting it on with each other next week.

Oroboss really has this whole 'how to be a boy snake' thing down pat now. He got right to business with Nautley. The hypos these two create should be amazing.

Expecting: Hypos het anery lavender, 50% amel (50% charcoal if the het proves out) and Ghosts het lavender, 50% het amel (50% charcoal).

This is the quality of the hypos she created when paired with Boss' dad. This was a 1.1. Nautley seemed to primarily pass on the dark coloring and thick borders to her daughters.
