He loves it, my two nieces will be in town. Hopefully I can get them to hold her, change peoples mind about snakes one at a time.

I took over a dozen snakes to a few high school science classes and gave discussions on genetics. I was shocked. The vast majority of the students were absolutely fascinated, and most wanted to hold a snake. I bravely passed the more docile ones around the class, and was lucky to get them all back. The kids went home wanting to go to the next Repticon, which I told them about. I had one girl utter several 4-letter words and cower in a corner. When it was all over, I almost had to pry a snake out of her hands as she talked to it like it was a little puppy. It was nice to have changed some attitudes, but even nicer to see how few needed changing.

My Dad used to bring me home all types of critters from the construction sites he was working at. I'm 58 now and still need to have a menagerie. Yeah. Start 'em young is the way to go.

Start the kids and the snakes young, just picked up a irian jaya carpet python. Kind of snappy when coming out of her viv and then she is fine. Does anyone know how I can post pictures from my phone. A few pics worked, most just say they are to big.
