Mice! They taste so nice!
One of my subadult corns, my stripe Dixie Chicken, escaped her new tub today and curled up on a tub in the adult rack. She'd managed to find some duct tape and get it firmly wrapped around her head. The tape went over one eye and around her jaws and was pulling her lower jaw and the skin of her throat out of shape.
I've never had a stuck snake before, but I've read good advice on here before on how to remove it safely without damaging the scales, so I grabbed a bottle of olive oil and got to work. Holding a tail-whipping, writhing corn isn't fun, but I worked the oil against the edges of the tape until it literally slid off of her. A good wipe off with tissue and she was good as new and trying her best to bite me as soon as her mouth was free.
Without the advice I'd read here I'd have had no idea what to do. The tape is 'extra strong' tape and it was so firmly stuck I have no doubt pulling it off would have injured her
