Striped or striped motley? PIC

Striped or motley striped?
It has an almost perfect stripe, but also few little saddles.
What do you think?
Its siblings are motley striped, its mother is motley and its father looks like the one in the picture.
Bye bye,
Andrea S.

I'm leaning toward motley striped since as you said there are SOME saddles. Still, what a beautiful little specimen you have there! I've never seen a striped or a motley of that color.

I think that it's a striped......I don't see any saddles on it at all...

but either motley or striped, very nice corn!!!

Very Pretty Corn...

I also agree it is striped. I don't see any saddles either, unless you are talking about the markings on the tail. I guess they could be considered saddles:confused:

Anyway, it's quite a pretty little snake!

I'm going with striped motley......

Andrea,
Nice looking hatchling! After careful deliberation (LOL) I am going with 'striped motley.' I have my reasons:
1.Its siblings are motley striped, its mother is motley and its father looks like the one in the picture. A whole lotta motley going on in the lines.....
2.It has a few saddles. All of the stripes I have seen don't have saddles or those little 'squares' (on its neck) in the stripes.
3. The width of the dorsal (lighter coloured) stripe. In all of the pics of motley stripes I've seen all three stripes (dorsal stripe, and the darker coloured stripes) are roughly the same width. In TRUE stripes (see pic below) the dorsal stripe is about two times wider than the darker coloured stripes.
Just my two cents. ;)
Once again, nice looking hatchling. Thanks for sharing.:)

Yeah, Joe posted my reasons for calling this snake a striped motley. Here is my snake pic to kind of corroborate his 3rd reason about the dorsal stripe's thickness

Great snake

Hi,
That is a really beautiful little snake. There seem to be a pink hew to the colour. I would love to see the parents. I think because of the background and siblings there would have to be some motley to the name. Looks like a striped motley.
Thanks for sharing,
