Students in CA sent home for wearing flags

I always thought Cinco de Mayo was zombie day anyways.

Oh excuse me. Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

EDIT: Nevermind. It's actually a day celebrating the Mexican army's victory over the French army. Not that much of a reason to celebrate, if you ask me. :grin01:
(Sorry... just couldn't help myself)

I agree, kind of like defeating an army of vaginas.

Let us all speak kind words to each other, at home or where ever we may be.

NOTE: If you find this comment offensive, I am sorry, that is not what I meant. I think everyone is wonderful and it's a lovely day. All is right with the world. Unless you think all is wrong with the world and then of course, I agree. I don't intend my agreement to be condescending in any way. I truly agree with everything you have said or plan to say. Please don't consider this to be antagonistic or confrontational. I'm sure I have worded this poorly and caused you to misunderstand my intention.

Ok to be honest I posted that while still angry about reading the story in the first place. I could not find a way to edit it, but if you know how and will let me know I'll gladly change my post to say like defeating an entire army of "sissys".

By the way I meant no disrespect to the female gender as you implied and take offense to you acting as if I did. It reminds me of when people are so quick to play the "race card".

I apologize for offending you and will gladly either change the post or delete the post.

So what are you saying about my race? Do you think you are better than me some how just because of my race? Where do you get off with that crap?

Yeah, that's like whining about someone playing the race card after you use a racial epithet to their face. It doesn't work.

But yes, the French army has been rather... ineffectual. I love the "I feel lucky" with google and typing "french military victories"

Yea, my home town made the news. I actually went to Live Oak, they expelled me though. :grin01: So glad my son is going to the other high school in town.

I thought the same thing, about wearing a Mexican flag on the 4th of July....

I was expelled from my high school, too :grin01: .

I wonder if we are not hearing the whole story? Knowing high schoolers, they were probably trying to get a reaction from the latinos.

Probably didn't just turn patriotic that day...

Which is worse, antagonizing classmates of Mexican heritage, or teens celebrating Cinco de Mayo as the unofficial US Drinking Holiday?

Wayne just posted another article that said there was nothing going on with the students,

But Jones said the preemptive action was unnecessary, and that Rodriguez "overstepped his bounds."

"The issue was, there was nothing going on," Jones told Fox News on Friday. "There was no sense of violence at all amongst the students, there was no conversation, there was no bullying.

That's not a liberal problem, that's a rampant stupidity problem.

I don't think it is a day for teens to drink either, some drink any day for any reason. That isn't a liberal problem either, again just stupidity.

I agree, kind of like defeating an army of vaginas.

Why? Are women so vastly incapable of violence and defending themselves that you had to liken the army of an entire nation to our genitalia?

There must be some country we can equate penis to especiall the ones that fail to rise for the occasion. I thinking if one can talk about wimpy vaginas we can talk about wimpy penis (what the plural of penis, peni)

We could sing "A Wonderful World" hold hands and make smores.

Lastly I agree with you, "Mean Girls" was a movie and maybe someone need to make "Mean Boys".

But boys are supposed to be mean... It is in our nature... Its just when we get in a fight, we tend to become friends afterward... At least that is how it worked out with me and the few people I have thrown fists at... In fact we became pretty good friends and I know I can count on them for anything...LOL

Well OK, I can say though there is one person on this forum who I fought bitterly with and now is a friend and confidant.
So you are saying girls are mean, unforgiving and evil, I agree many times we are. I also feel we can get over it. I think it boils down to agree to disagree but have the ability to see both sides of an issue.

The only experience I have with females being angry with each other, was my little sister and her friends... and they are freaking evil. Hard core evil to each other even... In fact I don't think my sis has talked to a couple of her long time best friends, since they got into an argument over something stupid... They all still hate each other.... Now I know that there are some girls/women out there that are not that way... I just have, one sided experience...

I am sorry if my initial post seemed to indicate that I thought all women are evil... I just don't have much experience with that side of the story, so therefore did not include my opinion on it...

Aaron women are evil. Do not underestimate them. My best friend all through high school and into college beat the crap out of me in the ninth grade. That is how we met. I was his best man at his wedding and he was mine.

I watched my daughter and her friends and they did thing I simply could not believe. And they never forget. The will still hate each other in the after life.

I digress.
Well of course we don't forget, but we try very had to forgive ourselves and others..
I remember every thing my husband ever did to upset me, which has been at least once a day for over 25 years, but I still love him and 'all his faults'.:roflmao:
