Sunkissed Lavender...shedding!

El Jefe

Mark 16:18
Well...this little bugger started to take his skin off and I've been waiting everyday now to see the true colors.

Next set of pics is a male -vs- female color differences....or at least that is what I think. There could always be something else working here as well. :awcrap:

And the last pic is a byproduct of the clutch....too bad he wasn't a lavender, sunkissed or that combo! ;)

The colour on those sunkisseds is great.. I like the difference between the two.
And the normal (?) is AMAZING!!! He looks okeetee-ish or something... Can't wait to see what he'll look like in a year or two..

Hey Jeff,
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME !!!!................a big congrats on those man.
Any chance of Hypo floating around in there. It looks to me you might have a Sunkissed Lavender and a Hypo Sunkissed Lavender there????

That last one pictured is pretty cool as well and I see what you mean, to bad it wasen't Lavender, Sunkissed or a combo of both. It would have been mind blowing if so !!!

Walter,
:crazy02: BOUT' CORNS !!

Those things are SMOKIN'! Jeff. They look very different then what I would picture them to be. Very interesting what the Sunkissed gene does to the other known morphs. There is definitely a huge difference in coloration between the male and female as well. I really like the head marking on the female and the "ring around the color" she has. Great friggen snakes Jeff!

On a side note, I am wondering if you will keep notice, as it sheds and grows, whether the snakes "cheeks" turn white high on the snakes face. The reason I ask is Brent and I have some Sunkissed that exhibit this tendency. Have you seen this in other Sunkissed lines you are working with?

Not a very high chance.....out of a good clutch (this one was 19 or 24...don't remember which clutch these came from) and there were NO regular hypos. Sunkissed and odd lavenders but no common hypos that I could tell. I guess it could've have slipped in and only shown itself in the sunkissed but I doubt it. In fact, in all the sunkissed lavender combos I have (all siblings) there has not been a regular hypo so I would say no. There has been some rather light lavenders though.... (see this post for pics...http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69579)

Haven't noticed that...will have to keep an eye out. Got any photos to show what you mean?

Gorgeous snake. Sunkissed looks good on corns. :)

You say byproduct like it's a bad thing. I love that one.

Nice by-product! I think normal really shows off cool patterns. The sunkissed lavs are gorgeous!
