the way you work with your animals, David, you are a newb.
This is an upper level pet, it is for experienced keepers.

But then again, you never take advice.

Ok trickster why shouldnt I
Size: I have already beagn construction on a 5x3x3
Temperment: all snakes can be tamed if worked with as babies
care: I have done over a year of reasearch on the snake did the 20 slide power point for my mother she knows they are big and mean I do to. But the ones I have seen and handled have been sweeties

David,
please, you have not worked with this snake. They are not common. Plus, showing your mom a power point doesnt prove you know what you are talking about.
I have seen your posts, and your skill level. This is an animal you are not prepared for.

Dave some snakes don't tame down even when handled. You should expect this to be one that you handle with a hook, carefully. King rat is also the Stink Rat for a pretty good reason. You might want to think about that too.

but have you inspected my facilitys? My mom checks out everything in the PP presentation. Also I have worked with one a friend of mine has a 6 footer very docile snake. It is relitivley old too. I will get pics next time I visit. Anyway, as many people as I have made angrey that is not even relivent to how weel I can keep a snake. I got the same thing before I got the heralds and Taiwan! And guess what they are in great health eatin, sheddin, poopin, doin.....snake stuff.
Please trickster I know I am ready! Trust me! Sure I have been a rude jerk but I want to get this animal. My grandfather and I will be ordering her (jasmine) in about three weeks

LOL Yea stinking goddess rat snake is one name that they have and it is well deserved. i saw and smelled one at a show and peyew it was nasty! I have a hook by grandpa built me I have hooked some copperheads with it in the past it works very well. I have a large cage in the works now a 5x3x3 and Jamine will be happy there. I named her jasmine

No advice in the world is going to save David or the snake. People are waisting their times arguing with a common know it all teeny bopper... Been there..adults are dumb at this age.... eventually he will learn. Hard way so what!!!!... It's just sad the snake will suffer. But David will always remember us here on the corn snake forum :D:D:D

It's just a waist of time to type.. it's what he wants anyway :twohammer

*~*Lots of luck Davie*~*

<3kisses

Did you REALLY expect a different reaction over here, David??

Listen...YOU ARE NOT READY!!

You want my opinion? I don't think you're ready for ANY of the snakes you have, INCLUDING the corn. I think you are a spoiled rotten, selfish, littel BRAT that doesn't know the first thing about PROPER husbandry. I think you are a conceited, know-it-all that insists he knows WAY more than he really does. I think you need a swift kick in the hind-quarters to straighten your %^& up, and maybe get you set back straight.

You got a TON of growing up to do. It is VERY unfortunate that your snakes are GOING to suffer because of your complete lack of interest in the quality of their care.

Been researching for a year? Did a powerpoint presentation on them? How about some links. Why don't you prove us all wrong, and show US the links you used to get your information.

Why not post this on your OWN forum, where your little friends might think you are cool for getting a snake that is WAY out of your league, instead of on a REAL forum where everyone that DOES know better knows for a FACT that this is a snake that you cannot handle??

Everyone else reading this...I'm sorry if I sound harsh to David, but I am simply sick and tired of this kid coming in here expecting everyone to congratulate him for making horrible choices. This kid needs to learn a lesson or three...the bad part is...his snakes WILL suffer for his bad attitude.

David, I really shouldn't even try, but I have to say this is not a snake I would even keep. Not that I'm Jim Harrison. But I'm almost 40 and have had a lot of animals and a lot of Asian rats, though never this species. I've cared for folk's collections while they were on vacation which contained many more dangerous snakes than you will see at your local zoo. And I gotta tell ya man, listen to Trickster. Big mean Asian rats are the WORST! A King? No way I'd recommend that. And no way there's any shred of guarantee that any individual can be tamed.

thanks I have prepared for this snake for a year. I remember last christmas talkin to my buddy on the phone walkin in the court where my dad lives next to the yard with the koi pond and the whippet dog and sayin somday I will have a king rat

At this point, I've given up on trying to give snake advice to David. We already know if he wants it, he's going to get it. More so if it's something the forums believe is wrong for him, or out of his league, just to prove that he can keep it. So why do we keep feeding the troll? The more we protest, the more snakes he's going to get that are going to suffer. And the sad thing is, he'll be too embarrassed to post if something does go wrong. He's put up this facade as the "Master" for so long, he knows that asking for help is only going to be met with ridicule. I almost feel sorry for him. I do feel sorry for his snakes.

There's so much more to being a master than keeping every single snake species, and doing research. It's knowing your limitations, as well. I know right now that there are certain species I wouldn't keep not just because of permit issues, but because I don't yet have experience with a similar species. Anacondas being a prime example. I've had experience with ticked off boas, but I'm not ready for anything of that magnitude.

Dave, good luck.
