Well I am happy to post that scarlet completed her first shed this evening in one long snakey skin including the eye caps. We have been in a really dry spell so like freaking new parents we tried to moisten her environment up some. Honestly we combined some suggestions and had great luck and very precise control. We took a container of moistened moss and placed it near the UTH to warm it slightly and encourage evaporation and then we put some press and seal over the upper lid with both ends having flaps that we could open and close accordingly to keep the humidity around 72 percent. She took 10 days total and now she is sparkling and beautiful again. Here is our question; she is overdue on her feeding obviously and we wanted to ask if it would be wise to feed her tomorrow evening? She is really on the prowl all over her cage right now.
