She is very pretty and great motley pattern, I hope you keep he/she and be the first to prove out that the motleys that come from tessera breedings are actual tessera motleys. Nobody has ever proved that out according to Don (SMR). I held two female perfect motleys het charcoal that came from my striped tessera charcoal project to do the same.
John
How do you prove it?
Aaahh... I see what you mean about the black edging. That would be really neat to see some that were specifically bred for that bold edging with the uniform motley-patterned. Definitely some incredible looking animals.IMHO: Breed it to any cornsnake preferably not carrying the motley gene. If you produce Tessera, then your Motley is Tessera.I have a few to test out as well. I suspect this one to be possible Tessera motley due to the thin black edging, worst case scenario it ends up being a nice motley.

I can't wait to see some better photos of yours Lynnea!!![]()
Tessera makes motley 100% better bolder colors and better patterns. Im pretty sure that motley's from a tessera clutch will produce tesseras. It has been proven on the stripe tesseras and if motley and stripe are on the same allele than motleys should prove out also. Lynnea your snake is stunning! Good Luck

But there can be regular motley's in a Tessera clutch if not both parents are homo motley... those are not gonna produce tessera's themselves, are they?
