He just did! I took a gorgeous overhead pic, and thought, I should just quit- I can't do better than that, and then I got the tongue shot.

Good 'ole Ruby! Ruby unfortunately was my first experience with Murphy's Law of Cornsnake Breeding- not every snake will be correctly sexed. One day, after one too many bites, I'd had enough, and put Ruby up for sale on Facebook, and he was gone in 10 minutes. And even then, he had a waiting list in case his new owner didn't get along with him! Man, he was excellent to photograph, though...
