The Noblesville, IN Reptile show is awesome!

Lori had I known you wanted a hedgie I would have offered one of the new borns I have nursing with a rat mom at the store. They were born last week and are awfully cute.(they have spikes even at birth, ouch!) Mom came into the store preggers and was totally unprepared for the little guys. Luckily they had a mother rat at the store that was nursing and she took them as her own right away. And, yes, I still get calls from the store I no longer work at asking "What do we do now?" And, yes, I'm dumb enough to still get involved. Somethings never change or maybe I'm just too old to learn new tricks.:shrugs:
Congrats on the new addition. They are pretty smart and can be taught all kinds of things. Use a towel for handling if you are bothered by the quills. Soon he won't ball up as often because he'll feel safe. Fun times!
Terri

Lauren and I send our congrats! We have one ourselves, Annabelle. Pretty Pets has a great smelling food she seems to love and I really am temped to try sometimes. LOL!

Thanks, Tara! I didn't know you guys had one! I'm so glad to hear that there are so many keepers on this board. I hate going to a new forum!

Ter, we simply do not talk enough about the things that are important! :poke: I had to go to Stormrose's profile to see when I first started thinking about them, and it was actually June of last year. I had just never seen them sold in my area, and I wasn't going to purchase one from a chain store. Terry....you're my confidant in so many things, so do not be surprised at my many calls asking for advice on my new little guy.

Thanks for all the kind comments. I know it's not a good idea to buy things without proper research, but now that I know I have so many good info sources here...I'm feeling really good about getting this little guy. Be prepared for lots more pics to come!!

Just couldn't pass up the hedgehog I see. Lol! I don't blame you, he's pretty cute!

That was a pretty neat show! I'm looking forward to attending again later in the season, when the weather is warmer and more venders are out. Bummer we didn't win anything in the raffle, though. Next time! :D

It was a tough call, Cyn...I kept waffling between the hedgie and the super dwarf retic. If I'd had the cash on me, that SDR would have been mine!

I saw that SDR, too. Very cool looking. I think the hedgie was the better choice, though. ;)
