Thermo Control Pro II problems

Hey,

Ik have thermo control pro II for my snake viv which I can't seem to program correctly. I plugged in the heating pad in receptacle I which is for heat and my light in II which is for light. I programmed day temperature 26 C (78 F) in the warm spot and night temp for 21 C (70 F). However the temperature dropped much lower in the evening and didn't get above 22 C (71 F) during the day.

I have a normal thermo control II for my Russian Tortoise which was much easier to set up and has been regulating the temp perfectly. Then again I have a heat bulb and UVB light for my tortoise.

Does anyone have any experience with thermo control pro II and how to set it up?
