Thermometer Question

Hey everyone! As some of you may have noticed from my recent posts I got my first corn a couple weeks ago and then a ball python this week.

I have stick thermometers in both vivs, however I recently purchased a thermometer with a probe that I've been using to get more accurate readings in my python's viv.

Anyways I was wondering what the best way to clean the probe would be to get readings in my corn's viv? I'll eventually buy another probe but for now what would you recommend cleaning it with? I was thinking rubbing alcohol and then rinsing it throughly..

Sounds like a good plan. I've never really cleaned a probe for a thermometer. Vinegar and water would be safe... but honestly anything as long as it's rinsed and dried well/properly would work.

^^^^^^^^^^^This.

And I would get all probe thermometers in place of the stick ones, you need the accurate temp of the glass on the bottom of the viv, and the probes work better (as you have discovered!).
