Third Hookup of the year!

Thanks for all the pics. There is something going on there but it appears to be more than simple recessive since it popped up again in the F1. Maybe the mother was het but that seems a far off chance. Peculiar color...wonder what's going on?

OK Jeff can you or Jen explain "something going on"? I have to say every shed he gets more surprising, but I'm partial to him and Jen's snakes.

I know I might be interested in some thing from the pairing.

:-offtopic My ghost from Jen get lighter and more pink/peachy with each shed. I just love these guys! :)

Thanks Becky... I might just do this one breeding, I do want to see the babies Medusa will produce by this guy as she is from silver queen lines and has in the past produced some pretty ghosts. I'm also interested to see what happens as far as looks when the babies from this boy are NOT motley. And I really do want to put Demeter, the anery mot female with a stripe - she was sold as poss het stripe and so was Achilles but I got no stripes from them last year (of course out of only 7 babies that doesn't prove much of anything) .

Something going on, could be anything. I guess to say for sure it needs to be tested against dilute and such.
The thing is how many projects can a small breeder like me have and still only do 3 - 5 clutches a year? LOL I have the ghosts, a cinder project in the works, the banded x crimson pairing I want to do, an upcoming caramel and butter motley and stripe group, and a pair of hypos I want to work on hypo stripes from. As cool as these weird light anery snakes are, my plate is pretty full right now. I'm going to give the repeat breeding some more thought but I am kind of not at a point where I need to be adding a new project.

Medusa is laying her clutch today and it looks like it will be a huge one. I didn't count since I didn't want to disturb her while she is still laying but there are already a ton of eggs and she is still going.
Last year she layed 27 eggs and one must have been twins because I ended up with 28 babies... Can't wait to see how many this year!
