Hi All,
My corn snake is nearly 1 years old at the end of October. He is approx 2 foot long or just slightly under. He seem's to be growing at a pretty rapid speed just laterly so i just wondered, when is it advisable to buy him a bigger tank?
At the moment, i have him in a glass starter tank which i got as a starter pack when i brought him (sorry i don't know the measurments of the tank). The guy at the reptile shop told me that i shouldn't need to buy Flick a new tank for atleast 2-3 years as snakes like to be in smaller tanks as they fill more secure.. just wondered if this is correct? I don't want to go buy him a bigger tank and freak him out.
As i mentioned, Flick is alittle under 2 foot long at the moment and the tank is shortly than that in length, so he wouldn't be able to stretch out along the length of the tank (althought i know snakes don't really 'stretch out' much) but atleast that gives you an approx. indication of the tank size.
Can anyone help and advise me?
