SNAKEWISPERA

New member
Right today me and me pops went to the reptile shop...While we was there I spotted a LOVELY common boa (the best common you have seen:uhoh:)
I really want this snake, we have the room, money and are capable of keeping it.
Another thing i liked about it even tho its a common it has the VERY reduced pattern with a very creamy body, it was:flames:

BUY ME THE SNAKE DAD

JOEL:crazy02:

O.K. I've googled it up and looked at sharpmans web site at his reduced pattern and your right, it is different..
BUT, I want to follow our carpet plan....
This will take some thinking about.... and stop getting every one to gang up on me...LOL
DAD

Mike... I'm SURE Joel will be more than willing to paint/fix/mow/clean anything you need around the house in exchange. Right, Joel?

You have got to be joking, the last thing I need is a mess as well.. I'd buy him the Boa to stop him painting/fixing mowing etc.....LOL

Haha!.

Theres a 9ft Boa in a rescue center in Bolton, Rehoming fee of £50... Its in there because it was being kept as a pet by a builder but because of its size he kept it at his builders yard which has now been shut down. Very nice snake! Just a shame he didn't think about the long-term housing of his snake before getting it!.

TBH I've heard that Boa's and Pythons are not a good idea to have in the same collection.
I won't say why yet as I want to see if what I've heard is B.S. ....Joel I don't want you to answer this as we have spoke about it...I want others to give their opinion

I've waited over 2hrs for a reply to this, and no ones got back. So is that because it's B.S. or is it some other reason....I have been discussing this subject with other herpetologists.... I do have some answers but I want more opinions....Anyone
MIKE

Mike I don't know much about it. But, from what I just googled http://www.anapsid.org/ibd.html it looks like boas and pythons can both get it, so I don't see any reason to suspect keeping them together makes a greater risk. Unless you mean that just by adding more snakes altogether you're adding to the risk..

No, thats not it but thanks for the reply.....
Anyway the use of joel's lappy just cost me 130 bucks...LOL... Not too worried though it is a nice Boa..

because then you have to worry about getting your shopping list of rosy's, emeralds, hogg island, rubber, dumerili, AND your spotteds, balls, burms, woma, african rocks, and eventually you run out of room and your spouse leaves you.

Atleast if the spouse leaves you can downgrade to a single bed and have more room for vivs.

No thats not it...LOL
No this is a real health problem and I've had a pile of answers off other herpers saying the same thing... I just want more opinions to see the general consensus.
As it stands I think that it probably isn't B.S. as quite a few of them I respect.... And they wouldn't make things up....
