transporting my snakes

What dose everyone use to transport your snakes? I brought Stanley, my adult male, to my friends house because they wanted to see him so i used a pillow case, but i think he sprayed musk in it cause by the time i got back home, it was all wet, and he also pooed in it. is this just because he dosnt like being in the pillow case? are there any other methods of transport that work better? I dont intent to take them all over the place, but eventually im gana try to get them to the vet to get probed to double check the sex. anyone know a rough estimate on how much a probing would cost?

You could always try calling your local reptile store. If they specialize in reptiles, they might probe and if they do, it will cost quite a bit less than going to the vet. As far as the transporting technique, you can put him in a small tub, but the pillowcase method is best. When I took my snakes to the vet, I put them in pillowcases inside tubs. The pillowcase helps them feel secure, and the tubs help prevent excess movement.

hmm

well i tried the pillowcase thing, but like i said, the pillow case was all wet when i got home, and he had pooed in it as well. i dont know it the wetness was from the stool, or if it was musk because he was afraid in the pillowcase.

I do pillowcase in tub, too. It was probably just wet from his poo- if you've ever seen one poo in a feeding bin, there is quite a bit of liquid. He probalby pooped because the car ride jostled him enough to get him to go- sort of like swimming or a walk in the grass.
