So I am currently in school for Elementary Education and tomorrow I am going to my third grade classroom to observe like I do every week. Tomorrow is my day to introduce myself to the students so they can really start to know me. I asked the teacher of the classroom if I could bring in one of my critters. I decided I'd like to bring Squirt my corn snake in to show to the students. After all, tomorrow is Halloween. My question is this. I have a critter container to put him in but will he be ok in it for 3 hours without a heat source? I plan on keeping him in the critter cage inside a very nice travel bag that I have. The weather is getting cooler, so I just wanted to make sure he'd be ok for a few hours away from his heat source.
 
As long as you are just going from the vehicle directly inside (or not outside for long periods of time), I don't see it being an issue.

Corns are hardy, and they live naturally in North America (specifically the USA).

No long walks in the park, but into the car then into a building and most of the time away from home in a building of a general indoor temperature. Your snake will be fine.
 
I would like to suggest that you make sure that he's done digesting at the time...

I've taken mine out to meet people a few times, I just plan ahead (sometimes moving feeding day) so that they had time to digest and poop beforehand.

I'm pretty sure that having a snake poop on you won't leave a good impression on someone who is 'iffy' about snakes.

Kudos to you for the promotion/education regarding snakes :)
