Two Normal Guys

Roger ('05 Abbott's Okeetee, SMR) and Sonny ('05 Miami, Kathy Love). The Abbott's has nearly tripled his weight from when I got him on 10/6-- he's 28g. The Miami has doubled his weight since I got him on 11/2-- he's about 20g. I started running low on large f/t mice a couple of weeks ago, so I picked out a smallish looking first fuzzy for the Abbott's. After thawing, the fuzzy was much larger than I thought, but I decided to go for it anyway. When I put Rog in the feeding tub, I almost took him right back out. The fuzzy was obviously way too big. But before I could grab him, he grabbed it, so I hesitantly decided to let him have it. Tonight I gave him his third one. He's a monster. :)

Beautiful!

Gorgeous snakes!
Of course, I'm way partial to the Okeetee... :grin01: I'd love to see an update picture in two years! It amazes me how much color change they can go through in just one year!

Okeetee is one of my favourits too! Nice animal!! It occurs to me that it's typical for Okeetees to have bigger saddles than the average normal, am i right?

Thanks a lot! I will definitely be posting pics of him as he matures.

Thanks! I've never seen large saddle size mentioned as a must-have attribute for the Okeetees. But they are supposed to have thick black borders, which may give an appearance of larger, more distinct saddles.

Beautiful couple of normals you have there. I like miamies but, I have to say, the abbotts okees I really like and looks like you have one that is going to be a great looker as an adult.

I love the morphs but there is something about normals that I really like and will always have them.

Thanks for sharing the pics. :)

The belly shot of the okeetee is cute. I like how crisp his colors are coming. They are deffinately beauties. I deffinately need to get a scale, I don't really see a differnce in how big my boy is :D Would be intresting to check :D

Thanks for the nice comments. :) I'm with you on the normals. I too love the morphs, but I think normals, Okeetees in particular, are my favorites. I have more normals than any other type, and I didn't get them for hets.

Thanks. I definitely measure growth in weight with little regard for length. On the rare occasions that I actually measure length with Serp's program, it's usually more for fun. :)
