Very Angry Australian Spotted Python

TheFrogman

Im just old
I have not seen my Spotted Python in a 4 days, he's usually active at night and I haven't even seen him then so I decided to take him out today, well I came across a very, very angry and agitated lil guy, he even swung around as If he was going to try to bite me but didnt. His skin is looking a little dull but still had some sheen and color and his belly is NOT pink at all, his eyes are not blue but don't look at clear as they normally do so I am assuming he's probably getting ready to go blue as I've had him since Nov 27, 2013, he has grown but has not shed since I've owned him.

He is also scheduled to be fed tomorrow, should I hold off just in case?

Any thoughts?

Double and triple check temperatures!!
How large is the snake? I'd say you can offer as normal and if s/he doesn't take, then a shed may be due. Since you haven't seen a shed yet, it may look different than you'd expect so s/he very well could be in the shed process as you've speculated.

His last weigh in was Christmas Day at 48.3g ad about 15 inches. Hes always has had a great disposition and awesome eater. Currently his temps are 97*F on the hot side, cool side is 72* F and the middle is about 80*F. Humidity is 85%. Hes in a 40B with tons of hide and play areas.

Again, he looks dull but still has a slight sheen, his belly is white not pink but his eyes appear to have a slight greyish haze to them. And he has NEVER shown aggression with me but he did today and was going to bite if I didn't calm him down.

Queue the music, <music notes> "Do you see what I see?"
Here's my dilemma now, I couldn't understand why he's has been so angry, well I fed him and at that time there were no signs of shedding, he eat, and an hour later I saw this.

Is it an issue that I fed him while blue.?

Also, he stopped trying to shed his skin and is just sitting in his favorite spot, Is this ok?

He sounds blue. I would hold off. And now I see you fed him, he ate, can't see the pics, but he is shedding?? I'd just leave him alone for two or three days. It _is_ a problem if he doesn't resume shedding. But a regurge is more of a problem. You could make a humid hide and put it in with him, if he doesn't resume.

Im not sure why my pictures screwed up, between PC issues and Snakes issued Im going crazy.

He's the deal, hes been acting really strange for a week. I made a humid hide and hes been in it a week straight, stupid me took him out to feed him, he showed NO signs of shedding! I fed him a small Fuzzy in a separate Keeper, he eat it with no problem, I let him sit about an hour and then I transferred him back to his regular enclosure and I saw his nose peeling. But he is not trying to shed further, hes sitting is his favorite spot on the cool side.

Should I put him in the humidity box or let him sit because he just eat?

Wooo Hooooo ! A very successful Shed for Diablo and all in one piece. Thanks Nanci and everyone else that got me through my very first shedding.

Yep, I agree with Nanci.
It may look horrible, but a bad shed will be easier to deal with than a regurge. So just leave him alone and if he has trouble shedding, just give him a little soak in a few days and run him through a towel :)
