weight problem updated! got her to the vets

*falls to her knees and cries*

the vet called a little while ago and he still hasnt had her results back! ahhhhhhhh! this is going to be the end of me i swear, he said tuesday afternoon they should be back, if not then wednesday for sure. damn, how long does it take them to get results back in time. stupid peeps. ive now waited 4 whole days, i am getting very impatient, agitated and upset. oh well...not a lot the vet can do until we get those results, i am soo wishing for them to be in tomorrow!
*crossed fingers, toes, eyes, etc*

It is dragging out a bit isn't it. I have my fingers crossed for you ( and everything else), and my thoughts are with you.
I only hope that it's good news as i know from previous post's how much you love your snakes.

Missy,

I just caught this thread...I wish you all the best. I know waiting for the answer is agonizing, hopefully it is something much less drastic. I know how much you care for your snakes...and something like this is so painful. My thoughts go out to you.

Derek

finally results came through!

well now the vet called and skitzy does not have kidney disease! wo-hoo!!!!!!!!
her red and white blood cells are all clear and no kind of parasite whatsoever! yay!

however her calcium levels are very high which could mean that she could be producing eggs or just having some hormonal changes. she does however has some liver and muscle wall damage surrounding that area, which the vet seems to think came from when she layed eggs in july 2002. if she is producing eggs and she does get round to laying them (i find it hard to believe as its winter) however she then could become egg-bound as she already has some damage from the last time.
but at the moment the vet is happy to wait it out. if she does get any bigger or the second she refuses to eat then i have to take her back and the vet then will run tests on her liver, her muscle surrounding that area and her kidneys, for the second time, he will also be checking to see if she is producing eggs or anything else. but hes happy with her at the moment and if he is, then so am i.
yay! go skitzy! such a strong little gal.
:D

YAY!!! Congratulations Anny! You must be SO relieved! Anyway, hope things go well for skitzy in the future. I'm so happy for you both!
