Part of being taken seriously and adjusting to being treated like an adult, with all of the responsibilities that adulthood entails, means having thick skin and learning how to take the bad with the good without blowing it out of proportion or losing sight of the big picture. This means that people are going to make critical (sometimes harsh) statements about you and/or your ideas/thoughts/words/actions. You have to learn how to use the constructive criticism to your own benefit and just let the rest roll off your back. I know that sometimes is easier said than done.
By the time Friday rolled around after starting that thread, I was fed up and frustrated by some of the things I was reading and some of the comments someone was making about me personally. The thought of drastically reducing my participation around here or even taking some time away certainly ran through my mind because I was quite worked up and didn't real feel like socializng around here. But I slept on it a few nights, watched Illinois beat #1 Ohio State, and I'm not feeling so bad anymore. Any anger I had has certainly disappeared. What good would it have done for me to blow my top and leave this site for good?
The bottom line is that I nor Dean nor anyone else on this forum that I am aware of are out to get you or any other member. We don't want to see members leave or feel alienated. We want to see everyone happy and participating if that is what they wish to do. As far as I am concerned, I think your temporary ban was justified because you did push the limits. But you know what? Those three days are over. Nobody is going to remember them in another couple of days. And I doubt that anyone harbors any hard feelings over the situation. It's life. If getting a temporary ban on a cornsnake site is the worst thing to happen to you all week or even all day and enough to keep you this worked up 3 days later, then you've got a lot to look forward to down the road because life's gonna throw a lot worse at you
And like I said in the post I linked above: I only have your best interest in mind. Nothing I've said here is meant to get you down or suggest you shouldn't stay. I think you have made big strides since your early days on the forum. Even if some of the stuff I said here sounds critical or makes you feel uncomfortable to read, just digest it and use it the best you can becuase I only wrote it in the spirit of helping and not hurting.

I have to remember to read your recent posts before I waste time replying to your PMs. You can't just leave things alone; you have to make public the same things you write in the PMs. I don't think it was appropriate for you to start this thread, and I don't think you've learned as much as I'd hoped from your suspension. I'll be locking this thread after I address a few of your claims. Then I want you to leave this subject alone. Free speech doesn't extend to privately-owned internet forums.
One person was suspended (you) and one person was banned. That's it. I don't agree with you that some of the best names were banned. That's just not true.
You're allowing yourself to get worked up over nothing again. Only one person was banned, and if she was your friend, then I'm sure you can track her down somehow and resume your friendship. The friend that banned you was treated in a very unfriendly manner by you, and it's his job to uphold the site rules, some of which you broke. You earned your brief suspension.
You most certainly have not kept all your thoughts "in" before your offending posts the other day. Don't let your emotions cloud your perception here. I also don't appreciate you calling me out again here. You say you've seen people spared suspension when they did worse things. This implies that I'm not as impartial as I should be. Go find some examples and then PM me. But don't forget to review the reasons you were suspended first. Maybe the things I've overlooked aren't as bad as the things you did after all. And for the 100th time, I don't read every word here, so make sure your examples are from posts that you know I read. Good luck.
And I got more reps and PMs than I'm willing to count for what I did the other day. So what?
If limited participation is the price we end up paying for not letting everyone here post inflammatory remarks, call people names, antagonize moderators, and post inappropriate material whenever they feel like it, then so be it. I'm not that worried.
