Since mom is a creamsicle, which is a cornsnake x emoryi hybrid (or intergrade, if you prefer), these offspring are rootbeers het for amel. Rootbeer is the name given to normally colored cornsnake x emoryi hybrids.

Unless he or his immediate ancestors came from the Okeetee Hunt Club or the surrounding area, dad is a normal normal. He does not fit the Okeetee-phase description.

Nice hatchling! Congrats. Good luck with the others.

I vote Rootbeer, because if the mother is a creamsicle (Amelanistic, Corn x Emoryi), then the babies will be hybrids/intergrades too, which will make them rootbeers :)

If you happen to get any Amelanistic babies in the clutch, then they would be Creamsicles.

Hope that helps,

Edited, I type too slow, so Dean beat me to it :)

Well I'm going to agree with Dean Root Beers, to call them Normals would make one think pure corn snake and they are not that.

wow thanks

thanks for the speedy replys so i guess so far i have two rootbeers this is awesome. that male has very fine black outines is this what you meen by hypo im new to breeding and genetics but i know i like it. i plan on continuing in the future should i buy more breeding stock or can i just inter breed what i have now at least a time or two. thanks for the help

oh yea

the first completly on thursday the nexted pipped on saturday and hatched sunday, i still have two eggs with no signs of pipping is this normal how long could this take. in no pipping by say tuesday should i slit the eggs?

They'll hatch in their own good time. I had one clutch take two weeks from first to last hatchling once. That length of time is unusual, but a few days apart doesn't mean there's a problem. If I were you, I'd leave them be and wait it out.

I never bother slitting eggs anyway - if hatchlings aren't strong enough to make it out of the egg, then chances are they shouldn't be in the gene pool.

is there any way i can chart out a Punnett square for these hatchlings with just the info i have, and do you think that i could breed any combo of parents or offspring to get something other than normal/rootbeer

do i have to know what genes the parents have to make a Punnett square for the hatchlings
