What kind of snake?

Not sure what it is, but I get those around here a lot, sits on the hill sunning them selves after a rain. Also had one living under my house that scared my repair guy half to death when he put his hand down right on it because he didn't see it in the corner.

It shot out of the access panel and took off down the hill, more scared of the man I think then even the repair guy was of him.

Black ratsnake...they eat eggs all the time...and it's NC where they are commonly found.....Glad they were not snake haters.....

That's funny and cute... how many people would be okay with a snake sneaking in and eating their egg! Probably like 0.05%?

You can come and sit in a chair in my back yard, one will come by shortly ...

Found a huge shed skin along the concrete foundation outside the other day, looked like it used one of my vents as a starting point

It's great to see someone who didn't freak out over a snake and gently removed it after it was done eating. Good for them!
